iPhone 3G and iOS4 Fix

So, you’ve got yourself a fancy brick for a phone thanks to Apple and you’ve tried the Life Hacker fix of turning off this, that and the other thing and still doesn’t work? After purchasing a new iPhone because I couldn’t make mine work, I just discovered this small fix:

Take a look at your phone. See any little RED numbers indicating Emails, TxT (SMS) messages, updates, etc., well I cleared all of them (especially the SMS ones) and the phone went from completely unresponsive to actually usable. It isn’t a great experience by any means and I think Apple should suck it up and fork over refunds to everyone who had a 3G and updated their OS, but they won’t and don’t really care.
