A Few Weeks with iOS4

I’ve had the new OS on two devices: 3G iPhone and 3Gs iPhone and I can say without hesitation that it is a buggy, crash prone, lock-up craptastic mess. Seriously, when it works it is nice, but when it doesn’t, which is frequently, it causes mayhem:

  • Phone locks up
  • Apps crash
  • Camera doesn’t work
  • Takes forever to shut down

For me, the much vaunted Apple experience has gone way south. I won’t put this OS on my iPad, not until it is stable enough that my apps don’t crash multiple times throughout the day.

It may be great on the iPhone 4, but I would advise you stay away for anything else, until it has been polished a little more…
