So, recently Egypt announced that they were going to cull a large number of pigs. It was thought [ said ] that it was a direct measure against the swine flu. So, let’s follow this logic for a moment:

a) Pigs in Mexico contract flu virus from human

b) Pigs in Mexico mix a new flu cocktail and the new flu virus, tired of wallowing in the mud jumped back to somewhat cleaner human host

c) Human shares new flu virus with friends and family who quickly spread it around the world

What about that lowly pig? When was the last time you saw a swine jet setting around the world? I’ve seen a lot of people who could be mistaken for a pig on planes, but never a real pig.

Now, back to Egypt. It naturally follows that the pigs in Egypt were exposed to the jet setting Mexican pig [I bet he had a big sombrero on] after all they are probably friends…

So Egypt is going to kill off 1/2 of a million pigs. At which point, someone is going to say: “Hey, we need more pigs.” Then someone will go get some pigs from somewhere else. Why aren’t the new pigs exposed to the virus? It’s just stupid. Maybe they can vaccinate the pigs?
