Ertl Amputation - Day Zero

The trip to Bristol Hospital was more uneventful than I had expected. Carol was in great spirits. Her mother was with us and we stopped off to see some friends playing a gig and then continued on to the hotel. We ended up in Bristol around 11:30ish and after a fitful night got to the hospital by 7:15am.
Carol was all smiles and jokes. All the nurses and her doctor commented on it. The procedure is scheduled to take 4 -5 hours and then another hour for recovery so we likely won't see her until around 2pm assuming all goes well.
I took a few pictures of her this morning in the hotel and I will take a few more tonight once she is in her room. I'll put those up on the next post.
Now we are just playing the waiting game...
