McDonalds is Going to Make it Easier to Get Really Fat

Thursday, June 12 2008 -

According to this story on msnbc.com here McDonalds is testing a larger burger and it is exceeding it sales goals. Seriously folks do we really need more burger to go with our fries and soda? How obese does everyone have to get before we decide enough is enough. Yeah I realize it's a free market and people aren't being forced to buy it, but like everything else, marketing is king.

Very few people have the willpower to stop eating especially if they have bought something with their hard earned money. Speaking of will power, there is an interesting article about it on Cognitive Daily here that talks about a study that correlated heart rate with your ability to resist temptation. Perhaps McDonalds could put heart rate sensors inside the counter and then based upon your ability to resist they could lower prices, increase sizes of food, or simply show you some nice greasy french fries.
